Common Questions
Carriers Ask
Common questions carriers ask before working with GLD Systems. Explore answers about transportation risk, compliance, driver support, safety operations, technology, and more.
01 / BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Clear answers for your fleet.
These answers explain how GLD Systems can work
with carriers across compliance, safety operations,
driver support, risk intelligence, training,
and fleet data.
02 / GLD OPERATIONS
How GLD can fit into your operation
We help carriers identify and manage
transportation risk. Depending on your needs,
GLD can handle compliance work, support selected
safety functions, provide Safety Director
oversight, train drivers, and turn fleet data
into corrective action.
We work as an extension of your operation.
You can assign GLD specific tasks and shifts,
use us for executive safety oversight, or engage
us for broader compliance management. We define
who owns each responsibility before work begins.
Your team can keep its day-to-day responsibilities
while GLD adds capacity, specialist support,
management oversight, or coverage outside its
current hours. The arrangement depends on the
gaps you want to address.
Common assignments include driver qualification
files, Hours of Service and ELD reviews, drug
and alcohol compliance, vehicle maintenance
records, roadside inspections, driver behavior,
training, audit preparation, and incident
response. We agree on the specific scope with
each carrier.
03 / COMPLIANCE
Compliance and audit support
We review the agreed safety and compliance
areas, identify urgent gaps, set priorities,
and give leadership a practical action plan.
GLD promotes a
30-Day Safety & Compliance Evaluation;
the precise activities and commercial terms
should be stated in your proposal.
GLD advertises 24/7/365 driver support for
matters such as roadside inspections, HOS
and ELD questions, and accident response.
Your service agreement should identify the
support available to your fleet and the
escalation process.
Yes. GLD offers mock reviews, record and process
reviews, deficiency tracking, and corrective
action planning. An official audit outcome
depends on the carrier’s records and the
regulator’s findings.
We can examine the underlying violations and
safety patterns, help correct practices that
cause repeat problems, and review potentially
inaccurate records for a DataQs request.
No company can promise a specific score
or a date when it will change.
04 / TRANSPORTATION RISK
Managing risk beyond compliance
Our work can help you document stronger safety
controls, address loss drivers, and present
your risk management efforts more clearly.
Premiums and renewal terms are decided by
insurers, so we do not promise a particular
reduction.
That is a discovery question, not a starting
requirement. We first review the systems and
data your fleet already uses, then determine
what GLD needs to carry out the agreed work.
GLD’s assessment asks carriers about their TMS,
telematics, maintenance, claims, and driver data.
Driver development is part of GLD’s offering.
Training can address onboarding, HOS, defensive
driving, and recurring behaviors identified
through inspections or telematics.
05 / RISK INTELLIGENCE
Turning fleet information into action
We establish a starting point, track agreed
measures, document corrective actions, and
report trends to leadership. The measures might
include violations, file deficiencies, coaching
completion, incidents, or claims data where
available.
Yes. The scope can range from selected compliance
tasks to safety operations support and executive
oversight. The right arrangement depends on
fleet size, locations, internal staff, and
risk priorities.
06 / WORKING WITH GLD
Scope, pricing and getting started
Pricing depends on the work and coverage
requested. GLD’s current services page says
its FMCSA Compliance Management service requires
no long-term contract; its pricing page directs
carriers to call for a quote. We would put the
fee, included services, evaluation terms, and
cancellation terms in writing before you begin.
